A Christmas Carol auditions will be held in the Madrona Room on: October 30 and November 1, 2017, 5:30 to 7:30 PM
PERFORMANCE DATES: Five consecutive performances November 28-December 2
A Christmas Carol is a community production that has two casting parts to it.
Chorus – this part of the cast is made up of anyone (particularly families) who want to be in group numbers and the dance. It is advised to get a press release out by late October so that families can arrange their holidays to include being in A Christmas Carol together.
Leads – In the past, these have been cast members, usually returning, that had been cast in a roll for many years. As people get too old or unavailable, they are replaced with others. These past leads are usually contacted by phone to see if they want to participate OR new leads are auditioned and cast. This is up to the director, however, it is suggested that the director cast some of the old cast, so that the play keeps the feeling of a ceremonial celebration or ritual of incorporation of the holiday spirit.
