Summary: Pride and Prejudice is a RomCom set in England in the early 1800s.The play follows 5 young women at a time when marriage is success, anything else is failure, and love is a luxury. Plotting behind them, the mothers desperate to see their daughters well-married. And, the young men who may, or may not, marry them.

Elizabeth (25-35) middle Bennet daughter, too intelligent for her own good, sardonically outspoken
Jane (25-35) eldest Bennet daughter, shy, too sweet natured for her own good
Lydia (18+) youngest Bennet daughter, flighty, brash
Charlotte (25-35) Elizabeth’s best friend, pragmatic, keen witted
Miss Bingley (25-35) Bingley’s scheming, snobbish sister
Lady Lucas / Mrs. Gardner (50+) Charlotte’s mother, competitive on the marriage front/Jane’s kind and supportive aunt
Lady Catherine de Bourgh (50+) wealthy undisputed queen of her domain (and everyone else’s), another mother out to secure the ‘right’ match for her daughter.
Amelia/Maggie/Mrs. Lake (25-35) party goer/Gardner housekeeper/Bennet housekeeper
Mrs. Bennett (This role has been pre-cast)
Male:
Darcy (30-49) wealthy, class-conscious, awkward in social situations
Bingley (30-49) not quite as wealthy, easy-going, non-judgmental, easily manipulated
Collins (30-49), stuffy, ridiculous
Wickham (30-39) charming, fortune-hunter, raised with Darcy (who he resents)
Mr. Bennet (60-69) head of the Bennet family, calm, stable, cynical sense of humor
Hill (25+) Bennet butler
Captain Denny/Colonel Fitzwilliam (30-49) Wickham’s superior officer/Darcy’s cousin
