Marketing Manager

Orcas Center is seeking a part-time Marketing Manager (up to 20 hours/wk) to lead the organization’s marketing efforts through press releases, advertisements, newsletters, social media, web updates, and coordinated campaigns.

The Marketing Manager is the voice of Orcas Center and tells the story of our community to the public at large. It is an incredibly rewarding and at times challenging position requiring quick thinking, long-term planning, heightened organizational skills, and flexibility.

The successful candidate is a champion of the arts, social, dependable, resourceful, flexible, highly self-motivated, and possesses exceptional administrative and problem-solving skills. They will have experience with not only prose and storytelling, but also sales copywriting, and crafting marketing materials that produce a high CTR and ROI. Photo editing, and graphic design skills required. Programs used include the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, WordPress, (Basic HTML/CSS extremely helpful), Constant Contact, Slack, GiveSmart, and ArtsPeople.

Work-flow includes following our events and campaigns through the entire process: from brainstorming and development to interfacing with producers, talent, community organizations and businesses, board and committee members, to creating imagery, ticketed events on our CRM platform and website, to social media, print, advertisements, email marketing, and in-town poster campaigns. Maintaining a clean email database and customer list is a must as well as being a team player to help with customer service and volunteer support as needed.

FSLA: Non-Exempt up to 20 hours per week, $22-$25/hr., prorated PTO and sick leave.

Scheduled hours:  Hours can be flexible as long as deadlines are met. We anticipate this position can be approximately 70% remote, with 30% in the office or out in the community for meetings and collaborations.

Bookkeeper

Orcas Center is seeking a part time bookkeeper (approximately 10-15 hours per week) to assist in the daily operations of the Center. The bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all aspects of Orcas Center accounting, including:
  • AR / AP
  • Payroll
  • Financials
  • Reconciliations
  • Donor/Sponsor tracking/appreciation
  • Tax return prep
  • W2/1099 prep/filing
  • + other misc. functions
