Della the baker makes cakes, not judgement calls- those she leaves to her husband, Tim.  But when the young woman she helped raise comes back home to North Carolina to get married, and the fiance is actually a fiancee, Della’s life gets turned upside down. She can’t really make a cake for such a wedding, can she? For the first time in her life, Della has to think for herself.

Della- female, 50’s-60’s, pleasant, round, white
Tim-  male, 50’s-60’s, her husband, a good ol’boy, white
Jen- female, 20’s-30’s, has dreamt of her wedding day her entire life, white
Macy- female, 20’s-30’s, her skeptical fiancee, a woman of color
George- VOICE only- the voice of a British baking show judge
