Painting Party: Round Two!
We have just one-and-a-half sides of the building to go!
Help beautify Orcas Center by joining us for a painting party to update the exterior of the building.
Orcas Center is looking for volunteers to help paint the exterior of the building with beautiful new colors! This will fulfill the volunteer labor portion of our GiveOrcas! grant campaign, and is an integral piece of the puzzle for helping us maintain the building for generations to come.
If you didn’t get a chance to help paint in July, don’t worry, there is still more to do! Mark your calendars for August 22nd and 23rd, (Thursday and Friday) where we’re planning on another round of painting from 9am to 3pm.
We will have brushes, rollers, trays, drop-cloths, etc on hand. But, of course if you have a favorite brush, (or two) please feel free to bring them! If you happen to have a step ladder or “A” frame ladder up to 8 feet, we can put them to good use as well!
Be sure to wear grubby clothes, (or at least clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on), and dress according to the weather. As of this writing, it looks like we’re due for partly cloudy skies and a high of around 70. Please enter and exit at the shop door, in the back of the building. This will help prevent paint getting on our lobby carpeting.
Refreshments will be provided. You can help us plan for food and materials by emailing your RSVP to info@orcascenter.org.
See you there!
