We Are Here: A Documentary about Paperhand Puppet Intervention

We Are Here is a one-hour documentary by Marc Levy that investigates the intention and process of a community whose aim is to move us to action through moving art. In We Are Here, we find out what makes a puppet come to life and we are challenged to reconsider our own place in the world.

In 1998 Paperhand Puppet Intervention’s directors Donovan Zimmerman and Jan Burger met and began a
collaboration of epic proportions. They combine their theatrical art with community building, cultural stories, and protest. They create incredible giant puppets, masks, shadow plays and spectacle performances for all ages.

Creators of We Are Here Marc Levy and Marc Solomon have graciously allowed us to view it in a Pay-as-you-will format. Proceeds will benefit the filmmaker (who made this with no budget), and the Orcas Center.
