The Orcas Christian School presents this dramatization Little Women the timeless coming-of-age story by Louisa May Alcott. Join the March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate love, loss, and growing up during the American Civil War.

Directed by Orcas Island High School senior Solianna Halabisky, this multimedia showcase is her senior community project—an artistic call to protect the ecosystems and remarkable wildlife of our region. The performance features choreography by Tiffany Loney, dancers from the Orcas Dance Collective, original poetry by local students, and stunning underwater projections created by Jess Newly, Friends of the San Juans’ Community Science and Education Director.

Her origin story is more Marvel comic than real life - in the accident, the radio knobs punctured her leg and activated an ancient voice within her, songs that were waiting to come to the surface. Much like Spider-Man, she operates under the mantra that "with great power comes great responsibility."

The Black Tones

Founded by twins Eva and Cedric Walker, the Seattle-based rock ‘n’ roll band has grown from humble beginnings in their grandmother’s basement to receiving recognition from Guitar World, AfroPunk, KEXP, American Songwriter, Under the Radar and NPR, which said, ”The Black Tones are redefining Seattle music.”
