Ruth Moody is an award winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Canada, celebrated for her angelic soprano voice and effortless command. As a founding and current member of The Wailin’ Jennys, she has garnered two Juno Awards and performed to rapt audiences in sold-out venues around the globe.
Scott Cossu’s style of music is a mix, and although he has been labeled and popularized by the New Age title, he plays Blues, Jazz, Classical and Boogie-Woogie. His latest recording, Safe In Your Arms, was nominated by the Zone Music Reporter, as the Best Piano Album with Instrumentation. Cellist, Holly Reeves will be joining Scott as a special guest for this special Orcas Center performance.
Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival is thrilled to bring Time for Three back to the Orcas Center stage! After their knockout performances at the 2016 Festival, the trio is ready to dazzle once again with their trailblazing genre-bending and infectious music! Time for Three continues to rock music houses from coast to coast.
The Orcas Island All-District School Concert will be showcasing beginning through high-school strings. Come and enjoy the hard work our students have put in this year and celebrate their accomplishments with this musical program created to cultivate a lifelong interest in music.
