Brasil In Motion (formerly Bahia in Motion) is an award-winning Brazilian Arts organization based in Seattle, WA.  We provide classes, events, and education centered around Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage, and yearly cultural immersion tours to Bahia, Brazil.

Our work is rooted in the importance of a balanced body, mind and spirit and the integral role the arts and cultural awareness play in nurturing this balance.  We encourage people to find joy within themselves and transform life’s challenges through the arts and in the spirit of working with culturally diverse communities.  Brasil in Motion cultivates the healing and celebration of our shared humanity.

Co-directors Daniel Nery dos Santos and Aileen Panke are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming community and building cross-cultural bridges through the arts.  Present and past collaborations include Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Pacific NW Ballet, Seattle Theater Group, Spectrum Dance Theater, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Starbucks, Seattle Symphony/Benaroya Hall, University of Washington, and Cornish College of the Arts.
