The Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning Live in HD series returns to theaters with Bellini’s La Sonnambula. One of opera’s greatest stars, soprano Nadine Sierra headlines as Amina, opposite tenor Xabier Anduaga as Elvino in an exciting new production by Rolando Villazón.
Following triumphant performances in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette (2024), Verdi’s La Traviata (2022), and Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor (2022), Nadine Sierra takes on another dazzling soprano role as Amina. Riccardo Frizza conducts Bellini’s masterpiece of the bel canto repertoire, which features the soprano’s showstopping arias “Ah! non credea mirarti” and “Ah! non giunge uman pensiero.”
