Tackle a challenging scene or monologue that thrills you, learn about film acting or simply learn to tell a good joke. Every person is beautifully unique therefore individual needs are addressed with one-on-one attention. Work-out in a positive environment where Surrendering to Imagination, Risk-taking and Learning are Deep Fun. Relaxation, improvisation and Character Study will be covered.   • James and the Giant Peach, Jr.

    As the culmination of Orcas Center’s summer theatre intensive, a group of young thespians is presenting a production of “Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, Jr.” It’s a fantastical tale of a boy, his insect friends, and their amazing journey across the ocean on a giant piece of fruit. The musical was adapted for student performance by the educational musical theater firm iTheatrics, under the supervision of Timothy Allen McDonald. It will be performed on Friday, July 31 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 1, at noon and 6 p.m. at Orcas Center. There is an open dress rehearsal on July 31 at noon.

  • Art Opening: Orcas Artist Studio Tour

    The Visual Arts Committee (VAC) of Orcas Center, and the The Orcas Artist Studio Tour are excited to present the Studio Tour Art Opening on Friday, July 31st from 5:30-7pm.

    Join us in the Madrona Room and Orcas Center Lobby to preview the works of artists participating in this year’s studio tour. This free event features artists working in painting, printmaking, stone cutting, woodwork, blacksmithing, encaustics, ceramics, fiber arts, sculpture, photography, jewelry, and more. There will be complimentary snacks, wine bar, and live music from Madison West.
